Some merchants and residents said that if the support amount remains at only 500 baht per month and the program lasts only two months, it may not align with current living costs. They therefore want the government to consider raising the monthly amount to between 1,000 and 3,000 baht and extend the project until the New Year. They explained that costs remain high for raw materials, fuel, and consumer goods, directly impacting both residents and small business operators.
Meanwhile, residents have to bear increasing daily expenses, while merchants face higher costs and limited customer purchasing power.
