Progress update State Welfare Registration Project for 2026 Those who meet the eligibility criteria will begin using their benefits simultaneously on 1 October 2026, including both existing cardholders and new beneficiaries.

However, those who qualify for the “State Welfare Card 2026” or new welfare cardholders must complete identity verification (e-KYC) to receive welfare benefits. There are two ways to do this:

1. Identity verification (e-KYC) via the “Paotang” application

• Activate G-Wallet to use benefits through the Paotang app. Those who wish to use this channel must complete the required identity verification (e-KYC) first.

2. Registration units at five banks, which include:

• Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC)
• Government Savings Bank
• Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited (Krung Thai Bank)
• Government Housing Bank (GH Bank)
• Islamic Bank of Thailand

When can the “State Welfare Card 2026” benefits be used?

Benefits will be available simultaneously starting 1 October 2026. New beneficiaries should verify their identity beforehand to be ready to use their rights.

What benefits does the “State Welfare Card 2026” include?

• 1. A monthly 300 baht allowance for essential consumer goods, educational supplies, and agricultural raw materials from Blue Flag stores supporting local economic development and other stores designated by the Ministry of Commerce.

• 2. A discount of 80 baht every three months on cooking gas from vendors designated by the Ministry of Energy.

• 3. A monthly 750 baht travel credit usable on eight types of public transportation, including:

• Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) buses
• Transport Company Limited (Bor Kor Sor, BKS) buses
• Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTS), Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT), and the Eastern High-Speed Rail linking three airports
• Trains
• Private buses cooperating with BMTA, private buses, and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration vehicles
• Private buses cooperating with BKS and other private buses
• Songthaew passenger trucks
• Public passenger boats, with no limit on spending by vehicle type.

• 4. Electricity cost relief: a monthly subsidy of 315 baht per household. If electricity usage exceeds the set limit, beneficiaries must pay the full electricity bill beyond the subsidy.

• 5. Water cost relief: a monthly subsidy of 100 baht per household. If water usage costs between 100 and 315 baht, beneficiaries receive the 100 baht subsidy and pay the remainder themselves. If usage exceeds 315 baht, beneficiaries pay the full water bill.
