Following flooding across many areas of Thailand, the Meteorological Department issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rain in risky areas, effective until 27 Sep 2023 GMT+7.
Previously, the popular page "T Lom Fah Ar-kard" posted a warning around 22 Sep 2023 GMT+7 stating that within 120 hours, a major flood in the eastern region will begin. Massive flooding will occur simultaneously across the region, causing huge property losses in the Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi, Trat basins, and Khao Yai. The Prachinburi basin may also carry toxic contaminants. Bangkok and its metropolitan area face waterlogging risks in every district due to relentless heavy rain from the night of 24 to 27 Sep 2023 GMT+7.
Most recently, today (26 Sep 2023 GMT+7), the page posted after flooding had occurred in many areas, stating, "Rain will continue day and night. If you think you can endure, try to fight the floodwaters. Wishing everyone safety. Please endure for ‘2 more days,’ then the situation will start to improve."
