The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) announced a waiver of toll fees on expressways on all 8 routes from 1:00 p.m. on 26 September until midnight on 27 September 2026 to ease public hardship caused by the situation of heavy rain and flooding
On 26 September 2026 at 12:30 p.m., the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), Ministry of Transport, following directives from Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, announced a toll waiver on all 8 expressways to alleviate public hardship and facilitate travel amid heavy rain and flooding in several areas.
The toll waiver is effective from 1:00 p.m. on 26 September 2026 until midnight on 27 September 2026, covering all 8 expressways, which are:
1. Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway (Stage 1 Expressway System)
2. Si Rat Expressway (Stage 2 Expressway System)
3. Chalong Rat Expressway (Ramintra–At Narong route and Outer Ring Road)
4. Burapha Withi Expressway (Bang Na–Chonburi route)
5. Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in–Pak Kret route)
6. Bang Na–At Narong Expressway (S1)
7. Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli–Suksawat route)
8. Prajim Ratthaya Expressway (Si Rat–Outer Ring Road Bangkok route)
EXAT, in collaboration with BEM, has deployed staff to closely monitor the situation and provide updates on affected entry and exit points or closures to help the public plan and select suitable routes.
EXAT urges the public and road users to exercise greater caution while traveling, follow official advice strictly, and continuously check traffic conditions and available routes through EXAT’s communication channels to ensure convenience and safety.
