Sasin Chalermlarp, an activist and nature conservationist, believes the heavy rain situation in Bangkok and its surrounding areas is beginning to ease, with focus on the midnight period.
In the evening of 26 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters covered the flood situation in Bangkok and nearby provinces following unstable weather with heavy to very heavy rainfall, causing drainage overflow and flooding on many roads, leading to traffic congestion.
Recently, Sasin Chalermlarp, an activist and environmental conservationist, posted on his Facebook page that he expected a final round of heavy rain around midnight in Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Ayutthaya. He noted the cyclone was likely weakening and, since it recognized people’s awareness, it did not return. He said tonight would have only light, scattered showers, not heavy rain.
He also added that the final rainfall tonight would be light, with some areas showing slightly heavier yellow-colored rain droplets.
