The Governor of Pathum Thani declared an additional first emergency disaster zone as flooding in the Thanyaburi-Rangsit communities has expanded, causing wider impact in the area.
On 27 September 2026, Mr. Akwit Meepian, Governor of Pathum Thani Province, signed the provincial announcement regarding emergency disaster assistance zones for flood victims in Thanyaburi district (first addition).
According to the Pathum Thani provincial announcement dated 26 September 2026, an emergency disaster assistance zone was declared due to flooding caused by a monsoon trough passing through upper Thailand, resulting in the Rangsit-Prayunsak Canal overflowing. Combined with continuous heavy rainfall, this caused flooding in homes across 90 communities in Prachathipat subdistrict, Thanyaburi district, Pathum Thani Province.
