Review 2026 Flood Relief Registration Through the government app, clarifying that households with still high water levels should wait until water recedes before registering.
On 2 Oct 2026, reporters stated this is the first day the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) opened registration for flood victims with permanent residences affected between 15 May and 30 Sept 2026. Coverage includes 65 provinces and Bangkok via the 'Thang Rat' application starting 8:00 AM onward, or by submitting applications at local administrative organizations or district offices in Bangkok.
The assistance criteria are divided into four cases as follows:
1. Cases where permanent residences were flooded for no more than seven days and property was damaged.
2. Cases where flooding persisted continuously for more than seven days.
3. Cases where permanent residences were surrounded by floodwaters, making normal living impossible for more than seven consecutive days.
4. Cases where permanent residences in high-rise buildings were not flooded on the occupant’s floor but living conditions were disrupted for more than seven consecutive days.
1. Register via the 'Thang Rat' application, which links to the civil registry database for immediate verification. Citizens can track their application status in real time. Registration opened from 2 Oct 2026 at 8:00 AM onward.
2. Submit documents in person at local administrative organizations or district offices in Bangkok, where officials will assist in entering data into the system.
After online registration opened, many people raised questions about counting affected days since some areas still have flooding.
Regarding this, at 8:45 AM, a call to the DDPM hotline 1784 under the Ministry of Interior clarified that in areas still flooded beyond 30 Sept 2026, applicants should wait until water recedes to register. They should then select actual start and end dates of the impact.
Currently, DDPM has not set a registration closing date because some areas remain flooded. Updates are available on the DDPM website and Facebook page.
For those submitting documents in person, prepare copies of ID card, house registration, homeowner’s document, photos of house and property damage (showing house number), and bank passbook linked to PromptPay.
Officials provided a contact number starting with 02 for document preparation inquiries, but calls were unanswered. It is recommended to contact local administrative organizations or district offices in Bangkok before visiting for service.
Applicants must reside in declared disaster areas or emergency assistance zones. Assistance is one time per household, covering registered houses, rented houses (with tenants receiving payment), and other permanent residences without house registration.
