On 8 October 2026, Mr. Somsak Kreechai, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), revealed that after Mr. Patthana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, emphasized that the DHSS should oversee the elderly care center in Kanchanaburi and ensure fairness for the public,
the Director-General of the DHSS has ordered the transfer of the "Director of Health Support Center 5" to the central office at the DHSS headquarters during the ongoing investigation. As the appointed overseer of this matter, he has also issued an order to appoint a fact-finding committee to investigate all civil servants and government officials involved.
We have not neglected the matter; today, the Director of Health Support Center 5 has reported to the central office, and the department has issued the order as well. The results are expected as soon as possible.
