"Doing Good Foundation" addresses controversy over the construction of a building in Rangsit Khlong 8 and is currently conducting a fact-finding investigation, while also instructing "Bum Panadda" to temporarily suspend her duties as chairperson.
On 29 Oct 2026, following a controversy regarding donations to the "Doing Good Foundation" by Bum Panadda Wongpudi, an actress, TV host, and beauty queen, involving both foundation and personal accounts transferring funds to a contractor who claimed that "Got Atip Anantawan," Bum Panadda’s husband, instructed further transfers to his personal account amounting to several million baht, which sparked criticism on social media as previously reported.
Recently, the pageDoing Good Foundationposted a clarification regarding the construction of the foundation’s building at Rangsit Khlong 8, Pathum Thani province. It stated that the foundation, led by Bum Panadda, has been constructing an office building, storage for donated coffins, parking facilities, and staff living quarters. This is due to the necessity of having space to store donations and equipment, which many donors have provided, and to support the rescue and volunteer teams during disasters to assist affected people. The building also serves as a temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, following the foundation’s ongoing aid to many victims. Furthermore, it aims to provide temporary refuge during disasters such as floods. It is well known that Bum Panadda’s intention as chairperson is to build the foundation’s property to remain a national asset and for future volunteers to continue the foundation’s mission.
In fact, a close associate of Bum Panadda has taken charge of managing the entire construction project. Bum Panadda, as chairperson, approved payments for construction costs as reported by the project coordinator, transferring funds directly to the contractor. The actual construction budget is still under review since the project is not yet complete, and the close associate holds all related construction documents. The foundation has not yet been able to contact the coordinator to obtain all documents for review. Some parts of the building, such as roads, storage areas, and the office, are already completed and in use.
Upon discovering questionable information regarding the construction project and payments, the foundation will conduct an investigation. If any individual is found to have clearly committed wrongdoing, the foundation will proceed with legal action as soon as possible.
Regarding reports in the public media that the contractor, who was instructed by the Doing Good Foundation and Bum Panadda to receive construction payments, has denied knowledge or involvement, the foundation has acknowledged these claims and will gather facts to verify the accuracy and proceed legally in all necessary steps.
During this fact-finding process, the foundation has decided that Panadda Wongpudi, as chairperson, will cease her duties temporarily. Ms. Pornpan Phumrin, vice-chairperson, has been appointed as acting chairperson during this period.
Additionally, the foundation announces it will suspend all donation channels until the financial investigation related to the building construction and the conduct of involved individuals is concluded. Social aid activities will continue as possible, depending on available personnel and resources. The foundation apologizes to everyone for the situation and will follow legal procedures in all aspects to ensure fairness for all parties.
The foundation requests cooperation in presenting factual information within legal rights to prevent confusion or misunderstandings that could cause harm to any individuals.
This announcement is made for public awareness.
