SKY Group: The New Cash Cow of Thailands Runways

Exploring a ten-billion-baht empire: From a new IT player to the giant controlling airport systems across Thailand. The company has expanded its influence over nationwide airport operations.

Recently, I had the opportunity to dine and get acquainted with Worapot Amnuayphon, also known as “Boy Sky,” the major shareholder of SKY ICT Public Company Limited, a prominent figure in business and political circles, along with top executives. This provided deep insights into SKY ICT, which began its business in late 2010 offering IT and security software services with modest registered capital, and has since grown rapidly.

Within just a few years of listing on the stock exchange, SKY has blossomed into a major corporation that has won bids to manage systems in 13 airports nationwide, notably implementing comprehensive technology systems at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Additionally, it has installed CCTV cameras and AI systems for over 400 government and large private sector centers. Chief Executive Sitidet Mailap confirmed that today SKY has fully evolved into the “SKY Group.”

The key to this growth is building what is called a Cash Cow business—one that generates huge and consistent cash flow. SKY Group has partnered with Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) to provide comprehensive ground services for 25 years, covering Smart AI systems, passenger check-in, screening, and baggage handling. Moreover, it collaborates with Thai Airways on cabin cleaning, aircraft maintenance, and managing all air cargo warehouses.

SKY Group’s major goal for 2026 is to completely transform every inch of Suvarnabhumi Airport to compete with top airports like Singapore’s Changi and Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok, offering superior services and faster cargo transport. Boy Sky aims for this expansion to boost revenue to 12 billion baht in 2025, while supporting over 24,000 employees nationwide.

This success is not only reflected in revenue figures but also in governance, earning SKY Group the highest SET ESG Rating of AAA in 2025 from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. This rating confirms transparency and consistent returns for shareholders. It is rare to see a listed company grow robustly without misleading small investors while achieving the highest rating. SKY Group is certainly one to watch closely this year.
