Summary of the Cambodia border situation today (13 Dec 2025): multiple clashes occurred in various areas. Thai soldiers secured the land border points and the Kana area successfully, with the Navy and Air Force participating in operations.

Update on the renewed Thai-Cambodian border clashes today (13 Dec 2025): fighting continues across several locations. As of 16:00, 15 Thai soldiers have died—14 from combat and 1 on duty in the area—with about 270 wounded. Thairath Online has compiled key frontline information and major events as follows.


  • At 00:00, Cambodian forces launched BM-21 rocket attacks in the border area of Ban Nong Ya Kaew, Sa Kaeo Province, damaging homes on both sides of the border.
  • At 05:47, Cambodian forces initiated an offensive entering Thailand’s sovereign territory along the border, prompting Thai troops to defend themselves.
  • At 09:00, Cambodian forces bombarded community areas in Si Sa Ket Province with BM-21 rockets and artillery, damaging homes and injuring six civilians.
  • At 15:00, Thailand’s Foreign Minister announced the results of discussions with the U.S. President.
  • The Navy launched the "Prachuap Khiri Khan Prachantakhirikhet" operation in Chanthaburi and Trat provinces to counter threats along the Gulf of Thailand coast after intelligence reported Cambodian troop build-ups near Koh Kong and Koh Yao islands. A special task force searched for and destroyed Cambodian military positions and naval forces.
  • Eastern Forces, in coordination with the Air Force, conducted two airstrikes destroying Cambodian weapons and ammunition depots and air defense communication systems opposite Ban Nong Ya Kaew and Ban Nong Chan.

- Kana area, Surin Province: all four targets secured; upper stairways destroyed. Cambodian troops still retaliate with BM-21 rockets and FPV drone ramming attacks. Both sides are holding positions around the stairway access.
