Oil Prices Surge Relentlessly, Adjusted 8 Times, Breaking New Records

"Oil prices" have surged sharply without pause, adjusting 8 times since early March 2026. "Diesel" soared, breaking a new record at 47.74 baht per liter. Tomorrow (3 Apr 2026), all eyes are on government measures as citizens wipe away tears—signaling warnings of rising product prices.

Today, 2 Apr 2026, the Oil Fuel Fund Committee (OFFC) announced results from its meeting. The committee resolved to reduce diesel compensation rates by 3.51 baht per liter to 14.27 baht per liter, causing retail pump prices to rise by 3.50 baht per liter to 47.74 baht per liter. Biodiesel B20 compensation was cut by 3.48 baht per liter to 16.64 baht per liter, leading to a 3.50 baht per liter retail price increase to 42.74 baht per liter. (Gasoline prices will be announced separately by traders.)
