Today (24 Apr 2026), the Supreme Court resolved to accept for consideration a petition filed by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) concerning 44 former Move Forward Party MPs suspected of serious ethical breaches for jointly signing a proposal to amend Section 112.
Among the 44, 10 current MPs represent the People's Party. The Supreme Court did not order a temporary suspension of duties, allowing them to continue serving until a verdict is reached but prohibited repeating the challenged conduct.
