A close look at the Bangkok governor election results by district shows Chadchart sweeping a landslide victory in all 50 districts, securing another term in office.

Today (28 Jun 2026 GMT+7), in the election for Bangkok Governor and the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) across 50 districts, there were 4,428,646 eligible voters for governor and 4,384,695 eligible voters for the council members.

The district with the highest number of eligible voters is Khlong Sam Wa, with 172,761 eligible voters for governor and 170,353 for council members, encompassing a total of 246 polling stations.

Conversely, the district with the fewest eligible voters is Samphanthawong, with 15,213 eligible voters for governor and 15,113 for council members, across 27 polling stations.

Throughout the day, voters steadily arrived at polling stations, although heavy rain fell in several areas during the final hour before the polls closed.

As of 21:00 GMT+7, with 89.86% of votes counted unofficially, candidate number 9, Chadchart Sittipunt, an independent and the most recent former Bangkok governor, secured a resounding victory in all 50 districts, earning another term as governor.
