Don't make Nong Ploy upset! The hippo at the Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Samut Prakan became discouraged after a viral clip showed food being tossed to her four times in a row without entering her mouth, causing her to sulk and dive underwater to avoid her keeper. The adorable clip has received over a million likes on the original video, while the zoo continues to welcome visitors eager to see her cuteness. They also shared precise feeding tips to avoid missing the target and upsetting Nong Ploy.
The clip went viral overnight after a TikTok user named Rak Med Sai posted footage from a visit to the Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Samut Prakan during the holiday. The clip became a meme and attracted widespread attention, garnering over 1,100,000 likes and about 16,800 comments.
Some comments said things like, “Her mouth is wide open,” “Don't let there be a fifth time,” “Come, I'll show you how to do it,” “The head-shaking scene shows she's really fed up,” and “I've lost my patience now.”
Meanwhile, the Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Samut Prakan clarified that the hippo in the viral clip is named Nong Ploy. Another hippo named Nong Muk, who is Nong Ploy's mother (recognized by her protruding teeth), is also at the zoo. Nong Ploy is the juvenile hippo featured in the viral video.
