Summary of 8 unresolved issues raised by relatives about the mysterious death of Song Doo-hee, a famous YouTuber, after his sister rode a motorcycle home. Police are preparing to investigate the facts through her mobile phone and CCTV footage.
Famous YouTuber Song Doo-hee posted on Facebook on 17 Jan 2026 that the university student from Sisaket Rajabhat University who jumped from Saphan Khao Bridge around 3 p.m. today was his own sister. He said, "You really made a rash decision..."
Later, he recorded a video expressing doubts about the circumstances of her death as follows.
1. Song Doo-hee posted on his personal Facebook that what he wants to know is whether his sister died by her own choice, or because of others' influence, or if someone pressured her to die. There is no answer yet. He heard the news that his sister died by jumping off Saphan Khao Bridge in Sisaket.
2. When his sister was at the hospital and rescue staff had retrieved her body and sent it to the forensic department, someone called to inform that she had died and asked all relatives to come to the hospital. The family was there, grieving, and decided to take her home to prepare for the funeral, which was scheduled for the next day.
3. The relatives questioned why, when they went to change her clothes at the forensic department in Sisaket Hospital, the staff said she was not wearing a bra or underwear. They found it hard to believe because she was a person who cared about her appearance and never left home unless she was well put together.
4. On the day of the incident, she rode a motorcycle back to her home in Prang Ku district, which is about 40 kilometers from Sisaket city—an 80-kilometer round trip—to see her father. When she did not find him there, she returned to Sisaket and then went to Saphan Khao Bridge where she jumped.
5. At the time she jumped, local witnesses said they saw her raise her hand to ask for help before she disappeared underwater around 3 p.m. Initially, they did not suspect foul play but asked her classmates who said she was a person under stress.
6. Her life background included losing her mother early and living with her grandmother, father, and two older brothers under difficult circumstances. Despite obstacles, relatives helped support her education, and she was generally diligent. Friends said she tended to stress over her studies.
7. Their parents did not pressure her to achieve high grades but encouraged her to study according to her ability. If she had been upset and wanted to protest someone, she would likely have only gone to the bridge and posted on social media to gain sympathy. But she rode over 40 kilometers home before returning to the bridge—where did she go before that?
8. Although she has died, they want to find out whether she died by her own will or if someone caused her death. Her death was unusual for a suicide. People who commit suicide usually have firm resolve and preparation. She was not rebellious, had no disciplinary problems, and was focused on her studies—she was about to enter her fourth year and do teaching practice. If she was upset about family or lack of support, she would not have studied so hard. Her behavior was inconsistent with someone planning to take their own life.
