Information from the announcement of the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) regarding the regulations banning the sale of alcoholic beverages during the parliamentary election period (MP) is detailed as follows

Prohibition of alcohol sales during the MP election period

According to ECT regulations, there is an order "prohibiting the sale, distribution, handing out, or serving of all types of alcoholic beverages" within election districts, covering both advance voting and the main election day to ensure orderly elections. The time details are as follows

1. During advance voting on 1 February 2026

  • Ban starts at: 18:00 on Friday, 31 January 2026

  • Ban ends at: 18:00 on Saturday, 1 February 2026


2. During main election day on 8 February 2026

  • Ban starts at: 18:00 on Saturday, 7 February 2026

  • Ban ends at: 18:00 on Sunday, 8 February 2026
