“Gun Jomphalang” Reveals Behind-the-Scenes of Ghost Sounds Haunting the Border, a Plan to Trick Cambodian Soldiers

“Gun Jomphalang” shares the behind-the-scenes story of using ghost sounds to create eerie disturbances along the border, a plan to trick Cambodian soldiers into leaving their hiding spots. He reveals that he endured criticism until today, when the truth finally came to light.

Today (10 Mar 2026 GMT+7), the Facebook page “Gun Jomphalang Helps Fight” released a clip featuring “Gun Jomphalang,” who is still on a mission along the Thai-Cambodian border. In the clip, he recounts the background of using ghost sounds, recalling the mission where they played ghost sounds late at night near Ban Nong Jan and Nong Ya Kaeo. At that time, many people criticized and insulted him, but he kept that matter to himself.

Today, Thai soldiers have fully reclaimed 100% of the Nong Jan and Nong Ya Kaeo areas, so he is now revealing the mission to the public. On that day, the Cambodians claimed that only villagers lived in those areas and that no Cambodian soldiers were there, accusing them of harassing the villagers. But that was not true.

Because those villages were actually full of soldiers and their families, hidden in various corners of the villages, with bunkers secretly built. After using loudspeakers playing ghost sounds, drone flights revealed where soldiers were located. It showed about 40 to 50 Cambodian soldiers gathered near the border fence, with vehicles entering through certain routes to assist.

Using this method allowed them to gather intelligence on the opposing soldiers and relay it to the Thai military. He wants everyone to trust what he did—not something pointless but with substance behind it. Back then, he couldn't speak openly and had to accept criticism and insults. But now, the truth has been revealed.

There are many missions that soldiers might not be able to do themselves due to certain restrictions, but if civilians do them, those restrictions don’t apply. For example, Cambodians used civilians to press close to the barbed wire fence to pressure Thai soldiers. This mission he carried out as a Thai citizen. Do you all like this plan?

After posting the clip, it received 27,000 reactions and was shared 1,000 times.
