Fuel Prices Rise by 6 Baht, Bangkok Residents Face Heavy Burden Khlong Saen Saep and Chao Phraya Express Boats Fare Up by 2 Baht

As of 26 March 2026, updated fare and commodity prices in Bangkok show a significant rise in the cost of living, mainly caused by a sharp diesel price increase of 6 baht per liter (nearing 39 baht per liter), effective from today.


️ Update on passenger boat fares

Regarding questions about the Khlong Saen Saep boat, the summary is as follows:

  • Khlong Saen Saep boat: The fare will definitely increase, starting from 30 March 2026, by 2 baht per segment, raising fares to 13–23 baht (previously 11–21 baht).

    • Note: The service provider stated that if fuel prices continue to rise for more than 7 days, further fare increases may be considered in steps.


  • Chao Phraya Express boat: The fare has increased by about 2 baht according to the diesel price bracket of 31–33 baht per liter, as per the Marine Department's announcement.
