Her Royal Highness Grants Lady Aranong Piyanatwajiraphat the Honor to Represent the King in the Consecration of Phra Phuttha Piyanatwajiraphat

On Wednesday, 6 May 2026 GMT+7, His Majesty the King graciously appointed Lady Aranong Piyanatwajiraphat, Royal Female Lieutenant General and Lady, as his representative to officiate the consecration and Buddhist blessing ceremony of "Phra Phuttha Piyanatwajiraphat" at Pathomwanaram Temple, Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province.

"Phra Phuttha Piyanatwajiraphat" depicts the reclining posture of Lord Asurindra Hoo and measures 8 meters in length. This Buddha image is the personal Buddha of Lady Aranong Piyanatwajiraphat. On 19 April 2025 GMT+7, she presided over the ceremony to cast the Buddha's hair relic as a symbol of auspiciousness.

On this occasion, the royal representative also participated in the auspicious planting of a Bodhi tree at Pathomwanaram Temple, Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province.

The royal representative presented a royal gift box and a bag from the Royal Patronage Project for Sports Promotion to Develop Thailand to local residents, serving as encouragement and support for their lives.

Pathomwanaram Temple was formerly known as "Bang Luang Hua Pa Temple," an ancient temple established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). It later fell into disrepair on 23 rai of land in Suan Prik Thai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pathum Thani. Subsequently, Phra Ratchawachirathamkhosit, together with Mr. Sutthipong Juljaroen, Mrs. Wandi Kunchornyakong Juljaroen, and devotees, undertook restoration efforts and applied to reestablish it as an active temple with resident monks on 7 December 2022 GMT+7.

His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatayan, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, granted the temple its new name: "Pathomwanaram Temple."

Within the temple grounds stands the Pathomwanaram Viharn, featuring colonial architecture blended with lotus motifs symbolic of Pathum Thani Province. This single-story brick and mortar building measures 20 meters wide by 51 meters long and houses the reclining "Phra Phuttha Piyanatwajiraphat" Buddha image, allowing devotees to pay respects. The temple also provides monastic quarters and facilities for monks and Buddhists to perform religious activities and ceremonies. Currently, Pathomwanaram Temple is a branch of Wat Rakhang Kositaram, with Phra Ratchawachirathamkhosit, assistant abbot of Wat Rakhang Kositaram, serving as acting abbot.
