Complete Guide! How to Get the Most Value from ThaiChuaThai Plus and Use the Money Without Losing Monthly Eligibility

Get ready! The biggest economic stimulus of the year, "ThaiChuaThai Plus," will launch on 1 June 2026. Many people may still be unsure how to manage the government’s co-payment benefit of up to 1,000 baht per month most effectively, especially given the strict rule "use it or lose it" that caused many to miss out in previous programs.

This guide will help you plan your spending like a pro, turning your 1,000 baht into a house full of essentials!

What is ThaiChuaThai Plus? Let's review the rules clearly before it starts.

  • This program supports food, beverages, and general goods with a co-payment scheme: the government pays 60%, and we pay 40%.
  • The total credit is 4,000 baht, disbursed as 1,000 baht per month over 4 months.
  • Usage limit: no more than 200 baht per person per day, with total purchases around 333 baht, where the government covers 200 baht and we pay 133 baht.
  • The program runs from 1 June to 30 September 2026.
  • Important condition: the 1,000 baht monthly credit must be fully used within that month; any remainder will be forfeited and cannot be carried over to the next month.

Here’s a list of the most worthwhile purchases under the ThaiChuaThai Plus program.

Smart spending means converting government credit into assets that last the longest. We recommend three main product groups as follows.

  • Long-lasting consumer goods
  • This group offers the best value because it can reduce expenses in the following months.
  • Seasonings and cooking essentials like vegetable oil, rice, fish sauce, seasoning sauces, shrimp paste, and MSG.
  • Household items such as detergent powder, fabric softener, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and tissue paper.
  • Dry foods including instant noodles, canned fish, and UHT boxed milk.
  • Fresh cooking ingredients (to be purchased at the end of the month)
  • If you still have credit left at the end of the month, focus on participating fresh markets to buy meat or vegetables to freeze and keep for later use.

Blue Flag shops and community stores

Try to choose stores that don’t mark up prices so you can get the full 60% discount off real market prices.

5 tips to use your entitlement fully and avoid waste

To ensure you don’t leave leftover credit, try following this formula.

  • The "5 golden days" formula: with 1,000 baht and a daily cap of 200 baht, you can fully use your benefits in 5 days. It’s recommended to spread purchases between the 1st and 20th of each month.
  • Avoid the "last minute" rush on the 30th or 31st because the Paotang app often crashes from heavy traffic, or stores may close early.
  • Top up your G-Wallet in advance and check your 40% portion balance to avoid delays when scanning at the store.
  • Check cutoff times: in-store scanning closes at 23:00, while delivery orders close at 21:00. Plan your trips accordingly.
  • Keep track of your spending; even though the app shows your balance, planning what to buy on which day helps control your 40% out-of-pocket expenses better.

The ThaiChuaThai Plus program is a great opportunity to reduce living costs by up to 1,000 baht per month. If you plan to buy necessary, long-lasting goods, you can save a substantial amount over these 4 months.
