Thai Chua Thai Plus: New Registrations, 3-Day Processing, and How to Reapply if Not Approved

For citizens without prior records in previous government programs such as Khon La Khrueng or earlier phases of Thai Chua Thai, or those needing to newly register through the "Paotang" application, the verification period is as follows.

Verification period: The system will assess eligibility and notify results within 3 business days through designated notification channels.

1. Notification through the Paotang app.

2. SMS messages sent to the registered phone number.

Once approved, users can begin spending from 1 June to 30 September 2026 (project timeframe).

5 Key Conditions: Why might your registration be "not approved"?

The Thai Chua Thai Plus screening criteria are strict. If you meet any of the following, you will be considered "not eligible."

1. Holding a state welfare card. This project is designed for those not in the state welfare card database (as of 18 May 2026). 2. Underage: must be at least 18 years old on the registration date.

3. ID card status: Must have a valid Smart Card ID that is not expired.

4. History of suspended rights: Previously disqualified or had funds reclaimed from past government projects (e.g., Khon La Khrueng phases 1-5 or other projects with violations).

5. Data mismatch with the civil registry: Errors in entering name, surname, or Laser ID number on the ID card.

If not approved, "Can you appeal?" and what steps should you take?

If the system indicates you "do not qualify" but you believe you meet all criteria, you can proceed as follows.

1. Check initial reasons.

The Paotang app will specify basic reasons for rejection. If due to data entry errors (e.g., misspelled surname), you may re-register immediately as long as the quota (30 million rights) is not full.

2. Appeal or further verification.

If your eligibility is correct but there are database issues (e.g., ID card data not updated), you can contact relevant agencies as follows.

Visit any Krungthai Bank branch with your original ID card for status verification and identity confirmation (Dip Chip).

Call the project Call Center at 02-111-1122 (24 hours) for detailed status inquiries.

  1. For document submissions, if the case involves income data or duplicate welfare cards, you may need to present proof of welfare card cancellation (if any) to bank staff.
