Thaimart Launches Platform, Reaffirms 7 Promises to Thai Entrepreneurs

"Thaimart" launches its platform, reaffirming seven promises to Thai entrepreneurs, supporting sellers to build brands, not just increase sales, and providing strong backing for them.

Today (7 Jul 2026), Thaimart Marketplace Co., Ltd. officially launched the Thaimart Marketplace platform for Thai entrepreneurs at the "Awaken, Thai People: Thaimart, the First Home for Thai Entrepreneurs" event held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event was crowded with entrepreneurs and attendees.

The panel discussion opened with Dr. Wit Sithivekin, also known as "Hia Wit," host of 8 Minutes History and Morning Wealth, on the topic "What a country without its own platform loses in the long term." He highlighted the fragility of Thai businesses today, which rely on algorithms of unknown origin and rules that cannot be negotiated. When crises occur or platforms block or ban Thai content, the digital assets and hard work created can vanish instantly.

He shared an important lesson: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." Having your own platform is not about extreme nationalism but recognizing that our people have the knowledge and capability. Therefore, we should be open to new possibilities.

Meanwhile, Mr. Not Panthawat Nakvisut, founder of Thaimart, said he does not see this as competition based on superior technology, since technology can be created by anyone. Instead, Thaimart is founded on "trust."

Mr. Not shared painful experiences of being blocked on foreign platforms over 20 years, which inspired him to create Thaimart.

He said Thaimart's success is not measured by GMV (gross merchandise value) but by the "smiles" of sellers. If sellers survive and prosper, the platform is successful. This is Thaimart's principle, prioritizing fairness over profits.

Thaimart announced its "Seven Promises" to entrepreneurs and customers as follows:

1. We promise not to grow by exploiting sellers; we will grow together.

2. We promise our rules will be clear, transparent, and explainable.

3. We promise not to take sides but to stand for fairness and correctness.

4. We promise sellers and customers can communicate with us.

5. We promise to take counterfeit goods seriously.

6. We promise to support sellers in building their brands, not just increasing sales.

7. We promise to listen, correct, and take responsibility for all our mistakes.
