On the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun and the auspicious celebration of His 74th birthday on 28 July 2026 GMT+7.
The government and all Thai citizens unite to hold a grand celebration to continue the royal initiative of revitalizing waterways, preserving the lifestyle of Rattanakosin people, and to express loyalty and profound gratitude for His Majesty’s great kindness.
The public is invited to join in continuing the royal initiative to revive the waterways and celebrate with a spectacular event showcasing life along the canals surrounding Rattanakosin Island.

The public is invited to wear formal yellow attire to participate in the blessing ceremony at the northern side of Sanam Luang, Bangkok (and at provincial halls or appropriate locations nationwide).
5:30 p.m.: Ceremony for presenting royal offerings and laying of golden and silver floral wreaths.
7:29 p.m.: Candle lighting ceremony for royal blessings, singing of the Royal Anthem, and the King’s Praise Song simultaneously nationwide.
All Thai citizens are encouraged to visit the event and join in offering blessings for His Majesty’s long and prosperous reign.
