Bank of Thailand Announces Bank and Financial Institution Holidays for 2027

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) has announced the traditional holidays and additional special closure days for financial institutions and specialized financial institutions for the year 2027, enabling financial institutions and the public to plan their financial transactions in advance.

Exceptions and Additional Holidays for Specific Areas


The Islamic Bank of Thailand will observe additional holidays on Eid al-Fitr (Hari Raya Puasa) and Eid al-Adha (Hari Raya Haji) as declared by the Chularatchamontri Office, if these do not coincide with regular weekly holidays or the above-listed holidays.

Branches of financial institutions in the five southern border provinces (Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Satun, and Songkhla) will observe additional holidays on Chinese New Year, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha according to announcements from the Chularatchamontri Office.

Cancellation of Half-Year and Account Closing Holidays for BAAC


The BOT confirms the cancellation of the half-year holiday (1 July) and the annual account closing holiday of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) on 1 April, as the current account closing systems are efficient and can be completed without affecting service across all channels.
