On Tuesday, 8 Sep 2026 GMT+7, His Majesty the King traveled with Lady-in-Waiting Major General Thanpuying Oranong Piyanatvachiraphat to personally perform royal merit-making by offering boxed meals and sanghadana at Wat Ratchapraditsathit Mahasimaram in Phra Nakhon district, Bangkok.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King conducted the Buddhist consecration ceremony for the "Phra Phuttha Rattanasuk" Buddha statue for auspiciousness, and also inaugurated the control system for ringing the royal bell Phra Tra Mor Or, a royal gift to Wat Ratchapraditsathit Mahasimaram, marking the first use. This brought great joy and deep gratitude among the monastic community and Buddhists alike.
