The voting day for the Social Security Committee, orthe Social Security Board,will be on Sunday, 27 September 2026, from 08:00 to 16:00. This election marks an important step for insured persons and employers to jointly determine the direction of social security benefits and fund policies.

There are two main groups eligible to vote:
Representatives of insured persons: insured persons under Sections 33, 39, and 40 who are eligible to vote.
Representatives of employers: employers who have the right to vote.

The Social Security Office offers convenient 24-hour online services to verify eligibility and election information:
Via the SSO Plus application (available for both iOS and Android).
Via the website www.sso.go.th (e-Self Service for insured persons and e-Service for employers).
Additional advice for first-time SSO Plus users: start by downloading the ThaID app to verify your identity, then open SSO Plus, enter your ID number, scan your face, receive an OTP via phone, and set a 6-digit PIN to access the app.
The Social Security Board election differs from general elections because "cross marks are not used to select numbers."
Number of selections: voters can select up to 7 candidates (7 numbers).
How to vote (valid ballot):
Write the candidate number as Arabic numerals (e.g., 1, 2, 3) in the "candidate number" box, placing only one number per box.
If choosing not to vote, mark an X in the "No vote" box only.
In case of partial ballot spoilage: if numbers are unclear, for example written in words like "two hundred," that box will not be counted, but other boxes with correctly written Arabic numerals will still count (total must not exceed 7 numbers).
In case of a fully spoiled ballot,
write other symbols such as a checkmark, heart, or star.
To ensure honesty and transparency, the Election Commission has established the following rules.
Observers: insured persons, employers, and the general public can observe only from outside the polling station and counting areas without disturbing officials.
During voting (08:00 - 16:00), general photos or videos may be taken outside the restricted area, but photographing inside the booths showing how individuals voted is prohibited.
During counting (after 16:00 onwards), photos or videos of ballot opening, scoring, and reading of score sheets on boards may be taken, but equipment must not obstruct or disturb officials.
Campaign symbols are prohibited: no display of symbols, signs, or campaigning to encourage votes for any candidate within the polling or counting areas.
Complaints: If irregularities occur during voting or counting, a protest or objection can be submitted to the polling station chairman using the prescribed form.
Insured personsIdentity card (physical or digital via ThaID app) or any government-issued photo ID with a 13-digit number.
Employers must bring their ID card along with a corporate certificate (issued within 6 months) and a power of attorney if a representative is authorized.
