Election Vote Count 2026: Bhumjaithai Leads as No. 1, Proving Superior Strategy Supajee - Sihasak Build Positive Image, Experts Analyze Prachachon Partys Loss Due to Extreme Campaigning

Election vote count 2026: Bhumjaithai holds first place, proving superior strategic gameplay. "Supajee - Sihasak" create a positive image, while experts analyze that Prachachon Party faltered due to extremist campaign aides.

At 20:35 on election day 2026, after the polls closed and votes were counted, the Bhumjaithai Party led with first place, having counted 31% of votes. The Prachachon Party ranked second, and Pheu Thai came in third, with official consolidated results still pending.

Assistant Professor Lt. Jatupol Duangjit, lecturer at the College of Leadership and Social Innovation, Rangsit University, analyzed exclusively with Thairath Online that Bhumjaithai gained significant votes in the 2026 election due to effective strategy and the opportunity they had while briefly in government. The military’s role helped them secure good results. During their government tenure, they communicated policies addressing social issues and managed the conflict with Cambodia. Additionally, they chose knowledgeable figures like Supajee Sutthumphan and Sihasak Puangketkaew to build their image.

Their brief time in government generated mostly positive external perceptions. Meanwhile, opposing parties ran extreme campaigns, sometimes neglecting political calculations. This created a backlash among voting generations against the orange party, causing it to falter in this election.

The images of Supajee Sutthumphan and Sihasak Puangketkaew gave Bhumjaithai a relatively good public image and became key drivers, forming the core for addressing economic, social, and diverse international relations issues.

Analyzing policies that led to Bhumjaithai’s election win, key factors include the Khon La Khrueng Plus program and negotiations to export agricultural products abroad to boost farmers’ incomes. Grassroots-level policies increased public confidence and translated into more votes.

If assessing political alliances, Bhumjaithai ranking first is likely to partner with Pheu Thai, which remains the main political variable in this alignment. Another factor that could reduce votes significantly is the stance of Kla Party and Democrat Party, depending on which side they choose to join in government, with Kla Party possibly entering the coalition as well.

The reason Prachachon Party scored low in the 2026 election is attributed to having over 200 policies but lacking achievements that inspire voter confidence. Moreover, the party has declined in various aspects. Its campaign aides took extreme stances within political and conservative voter groups, which have grown stronger. Ideally, the Prachachon Party should have strengthened liberal approaches more effectively.
