Kruba Chaiwat has requested to postpone his reporting to the affiliated temple due to illness as the deadline approaches. Meanwhile, lawyer Ananchai has pressured the temple to set a firm deadline.
After police raided the Pa Chanachai meditation center in Saraburi Province over complaints of encroachment on agricultural land, disciples and the temple's lawyer explained they are willing to comply with the law. However, victims have since come forward to the Crime Suppression Division with information that may involve ongoing fraud investigations.
Famous lawyer Ananchai Chaidej sent a letter to Kruba Chaiwat’s affiliated temple in Loei Province, ordering him to return. However, disciples explained that Kruba Chaiwat is still ill.
On 26 Feb 2026, Ananchai Chaidej posted on his personal page that Phra Rajwachirasuthi, abbot of Wat Srisuthawat, has issued a second summons for Kruba Chaiwat to return to Wat Srisuthawat by 4 March 2026, following an indefinite postponement request.
Later that evening, the lawyer posted again saying Kruba Chaiwat requested to delay reporting to the abbot of Wat Srisuthawat, citing illness with a medical certificate. He expressed disbelief toward both the monk and the doctor, reminding that Kruba must report by 4 March or risk expulsion. "Be warned!" he added.
On the same day, the Pa Chanachai meditation center’s Facebook page posted a clarification regarding the postponement request. It stated that the acting head of the center was ordered to report to the supervising ecclesiastical authority within seven days.
Due to illness involving inner ear disease and arrhythmia, doctors have diagnosed and advised suspension of duties, ongoing treatment, and close monitoring from 21 to 27 February 2026.
Thus, a formal letter requesting postponement of reporting was submitted with attached medical certification to reflect the medical facts.
Once his condition improves and doctors permit travel, a new reporting date will be promptly arranged.
This announcement is respectfully made for public awareness, with gratitude for all the supportive and caring wishes received.
Another post detailed Kruba Chaiwat’s medical condition.
The disciples of the Pa Chanachai meditation center respectfully inform the public about the illness of Kruba Chaiwat Akkachayo for general awareness.
Kruba has a medical history involving ear, nose, and throat issues. On 14 May 2025, he was hospitalized with sudden right ear deafness, severe dizziness, inability to walk, and inability to open his eyes. Although his condition improved, it did not fully normalize and symptoms recur every 2–3 months, often triggered by long sermons or insufficient rest.
From 21–24 February 2026, he was treated at Bangkok Pakchong Hospital for decreased hearing in the right ear, vertigo, unsteady walking, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. A CT brain scan showed no abnormalities. He was given medication and fluids with plans for further MRI/MRA brain scans.
On 24–25 February 2026, he underwent additional tests at Thonburi Hospital. MRI/MRA brain and MRA carotid scans showed no abnormalities. Doctors suspect the symptoms relate to dislodged calcium deposits in the inner ear.
On 25 February 2026, he was examined in detail at Siriraj Hospital by ENT specialists who conducted hearing tests (audiogram), positional tests for inner ear calcium deposits, inner ear function tests (Video Head Impulse Test, Head-Shaking Test), and balance tests (posturography). Additional O-VEMP and C-VEMP tests are pending for precise diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Currently, Kruba is hospitalized at Siriraj Hospital’s Chalermprakiet Building. He continues to experience intermittent dizziness and unsteady walking. Doctors have prescribed medication and recommended adequate rest. Nausea and vomiting have improved, and he can now eat. His heart function is also being monitored due to concurrent arrhythmia.
The management team will provide periodic updates on his condition to keep everyone informed of progress.
