
The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) held a merit-making ceremony marking the 1-year anniversary of the collapse of its new building, dedicating loving-kindness merits to those who died or went missing in the earthquake incident caused by the collapse.
Today (26 Mar 2026 GMT+7), the Office of the Auditor General organized a Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony to mark one year since the new OAG building subsided during construction. Mr. Chalermpol Pensut, Chairman of the Audit Committee, along with audit committee members, the Auditor General, executives, civil servants, and OAG employees joined the ceremony as follows.
At 06:30, a ceremony was held to pay respects to the Phra Buddha Sothorn statue, the A.O.P Buddha Dhammaphiban image, the royal portraits of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) and King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) at the Office of the Auditor General.
At 07:00, morning alms were offered to five monks from Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram Ratchaworamahawihan and five monks from Wat Samian Nari Royal Monastery at the Worapak Pinij room of the Office of the Auditor General.
At 08:00, a Buddhist chanting ceremony marking one year since the new OAG building subsided during construction was held by monks from Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram Ratchaworamahawihan and Wat Samian Nari Royal Monastery at the Damri Isranuwat room of the Office of the Auditor General.
At 10:00, a merit-making ceremony marking one year since the new OAG building subsided during construction took place, spreading loving-kindness merits dedicated to those who died and went missing.
The ceremony was led by Phra Thep Watcharathammasophon (Luang Pu Phra Maha Sila Sirijanto), abbot of Wat Phra That Muen Hin (Dhammayut) in Kalasin Province.
