The welcoming ceremony was held with full honor, initiated by Maj. Gen. Yongyut Hansomsri, to receive the heroic soldiers back to the cavalry home. Commanders, personnel, and families gathered to congratulate the soldiers, with laughter and tears of longing shared. Many families embraced tightly in relief after months apart.
Additionally, flowers were presented in garlands as warm congratulations amidst smiles and pride. This welcome was not only a celebration of the soldiers’ return but also a morale booster and a reminder of the great sacrifices made by the nation’s protectors, which Thai people will never forget.
During clashes with Cambodia, tanks served as the main frontline force, fighting to defend the border and dismantle Cambodian structures encroaching on Thai territory.
