Pon Chakkrit's viral poolside video has faced harsh criticism. He insists he accepted the work to earn money to continue volunteering and helping the poor, while online opinions remain sharply divided.

A young volunteer rescuer posted photos of himself swimming in a pool, which went viral, starting around 6 Apr 2026 GMT+7. The page“Pon Chakkrit Fan Page”features a young rescuer famous on social media for providing free transport of deceased poor individuals. In many cases, families gave money to help with funeral costs. He posted a clip of himself relaxing in a pool. Although the video was taken at night, viewers pointed out certain outfits.

Some comments on the initial post read, "Anyone who’s watched it more than five times, gather here," "I believe everyone watched more than once," and "Watched twice, read comments, then watched eight more times." The post received over 63,000 likes and 1,600 comments.

Then on 8 Apr 2026 GMT+7, the volunteer rescuer posted again: "How to get paid for swimming? This is crazy. P'Bim messaged me like this — Bim Thathip, haha. But P'Bim’s cream will launch on Facebook on the 9th, just in case it’s unclear."

Later, it was posted that some interested parties commissioned him to film another swimming clip, this time paying up to six figures. Subsequently, a drama erupted with people criticizing the rescuer’s photos and videos.

. . .. . .Pon Chakkrit posted: "Many sent me screenshots of pages insulting me, calling me fake, bad person, or whatever. That’s fine. I do my job. I get paid 100,000 baht per swimming clip. I accept it so I can have money to continue volunteering."

Following this, some commenters praised him for promoting products and using the income to help the needy.
