SAT Fully Launches Thai House on 18 Sept. to Fully Support Thai Athletes for Strong Performance

The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has fully prepared the “Thai House” center for the 20th Asian Games 2026, opening on the first day to provide full support for Thai athletes in sports science and nutrition.

On 15 Sept. 2026, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), announced support for the Thai national team competing in the 20th Asian Games from 19 Sept. to 4 Oct. 2026 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. SAT will establish the “Thai House” as the Thai athletes' command center to support them with sports science, fully equipped with equipment for massage, physiotherapy, treatment, relaxation, and recovery using the most advanced technology.

The Governor added that what makes this Thai House especially unique is that the Asian Games are held in Japan, the home country of Ajinomoto, which is supporting and managing nutrition for the Thai athletes. Thailand is the first foreign country where Ajinomoto has extended such support, after its ongoing success with Japanese national athletes. Currently, many countries are interested in adopting Thailand’s model of collaboration with Ajinomoto to manage their own athletes' nutrition.

“Nutrition for Thai athletes will be analyzed and tailored individually according to each athlete’s specific program. This ensures that nutrition management is customized appropriately. The flavors will definitely suit the athletes’ tastes because the food will be Thai or other familiar dishes. This is an upgrade for the Thai House this time, and we believe it will help athletes perform better in competition,” Dr. Kongsak said.

The “Thai House,” the Thai athletes' command center established by SAT, will operate from 18 Sept. to 3 Oct. 2026, divided into two periods: 18-24 Sept. at Chunichi Hall & Conference, and 25 Sept.-3 Oct. at TKP Nagoya Sakae Conference Center.
