Yotsakorn and Thanawut speak candidly after joining the Thailand men's national football team ahead of their debut at the 2026 Asian Games.
On 15 September 2026, the Thailand men's national football team for the Asian Games trained at Okazaki City Ryuhoku Stadium in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, at 14:00 Thailand time, ahead of their first Asian Games 2026 men's football match against Kyrgyzstan in Group A.
The training focused on tactics and various techniques. Recently, Yotsakorn Burapha from Chonburi FC and Thanawut Phochai from SC Sagamihara joined the team and participated in training. Before the session, students from Tokiwa Elementary School came to watch and cheer on the players.
Before training, Yotsakorn Burapha, forward of Thailand's Asian Games squad, said, "My physical condition has recovered well, and I've had enough rest. I hope to support my teammates. For the first game against Kyrgyzstan, I trust the coaches have prepared the team well and that we can win the opening match without underestimating them."
"This time is different from the previous Asian Games because of age. I believe my quality has improved since before. This is really our generation now. If given the chance, I will give my all. Mostly, I focus on the team going as far as possible. My goal scoring is just a secondary aim."
"Some teammates have worked together before and know the coach's style well. I hope to perform at my best; adapting shouldn't be difficult. We've been together through many camps, so we're familiar with each other. I like being here in Japan; the atmosphere should be good, and we get to face the host team. I ask the fans to cheer for us tomorrow. We'll do our best to secure victory in the first match."
Thanawut Phochai, another attacking player on Thailand's Asian Games team, said, "I'm fully fit now. Coming to Japan early, I try to help the team as much as possible and aim to advance as far as we can. Personally, I want to score goals and contribute a lot to the team."
"Seeing fans from my club come to support us made me very happy and fulfilled. As for my adaptation in Japan, I think I have adjusted well. I believe I can do even better. I ask Thai fans to cheer us on. Thank you."
