The Thai athletes keep their momentum, securing the third gold medal at the "Asian Games 2026" through Sorsak Taesiri and Jeerati Janliang in the men's doubles sepak takraw event.
On 20 Sep 2016, at the sepak takraw men's doubles final of the 20th Asian Games "Aichi-Nagoya 2026" in Japan, "Sor" Sorsak Taesiri and "Tum" Jeerati Janliang, the 2024 world champion duo, faced off against Arabi Ahmad Qassem and Hafed Mohammad.
The result showed that "Sor" Sorsak Taesiri and "Tum" Jeerati Janliang demonstrated their strength as expected, defeating Arabi Ahmad Qassem and Hafed Mohammad from Lebanon 2-0 in sets, 12-7 and 12-4.
This gold medal is the third for the Thai team, following the first gold won by Pakpong Decharoen and Supawadee Wongkamchan in mixed doubles sepak takraw, and the second by Supawadee Wongkamchan and Jutatip Kanthathong in women's doubles sepak takraw.
