Latest bonus payments for Asian Games 2026 revealed after Thai athletes won 3 gold and 1 silver medals.

On 21 September 2026, the latest bonus payments from the Thai government were announced by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the National Sports Development Fund, and the Sports Authority of Thailand. They provide prize money to athletes, coaches, and sports associations based on performances at the 20th Asian Games Aichi–Nagoya 2026 in Japan.

On the first day of the 2026 Asian Games (20 September 2026), the Thai athletes won a total of 4 medals: 3 gold and 1 silver, earning a combined prize of 19,500,000 baht as detailed below.

Thailand Teqball Association (3 gold medals)

- Athletes: 12,000,000 baht (mixed doubles, women's doubles, men's doubles)

- Coaches: 2,400,000 baht

- Association: 3,600,000 baht

- Total: 18,000,000 baht

Thailand Karate Association (1 silver medal)

- Athlete: 1,000,000 baht (Maneewan Butsuwan, women's kumite over 68 kg category)

- Coach: 200,000 baht

- Association: 300,000 baht

- Total: 1,500,000 baht

The National Sports Development Fund's prize criteria for Thai athletes winning medals at the 2026 Asian Games are as follows.

Athletes

Gold medal: 2,000,000 baht

Silver medal: 1,000,000 baht

Bronze medal: 500,000 baht

Coaches for individual/team events with up to 6 athletes (receive 20% of athlete's prize)

Gold medal: 400,000 baht

Silver medal: 200,000 baht

Bronze medal: 100,000 baht

Coaches for team events with 7 or more athletes (receive 10% of athlete's prize)

Gold medal: 200,000 baht

Silver medal: 100,000 baht

Bronze medal: 50,000 baht

Sports Associations of Thailand  

Receive 30% of the total prize money awarded to athletes, capped at 10,000,000 baht.
