Kiattipong Ratchaketkrai opened up after the Thailand women’s national volleyball team lost 2-3 to China in the women’s volleyball event at the Asian Games 2026.
On 21 Sep 2026, Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchaketkrai spoke after the Thailand women’s volleyball team lost 2-3 to China’s women’s team, with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 11-25, 28-26, 6-15. This unfortunate loss meant Thailand missed out on the final of the women’s volleyball competition at the 2026 Asian Games.
Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchaketkrai said, “I want to apologize to everyone that we couldn’t reach the final. Congratulations to China for showing great potential. Their 3-2 win was a quality match, revealing many of China’s strengths such as excellent serving and blocking. Their key players scored well. Today, we couldn’t put enough pressure on them, but I want to thank the players and staff who gave their all, as well as all the fans for their support. Tomorrow (the bronze medal match), we will do our best.”
The Thailand women’s volleyball team will compete for third place, or the bronze medal, against either Japan’s women’s team or South Korea’s women’s team.
