On 21 Sep 2026 GMT+7, “Nong Pink” Pitchamon Opasnipat, a female badminton player for Thailand's national team, was temporarily suspended after testing positive for the banned substance furosemide. Consequently, she is unable to compete at the 2026 Asian Games but retains the right to appeal the suspension and request testing of her B sample.
The International Testing Agency (ITA), acting on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), reported that "Nong Pink" Pitchamon Opasnipat’s sample tested positive for furosemide, a substance on the banned list. As a result, she cannot participate in the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, while the review process is ongoing.
Due to the temporary suspension, Pitchamon Opasnipat cannot compete, train, or take part in any activities at the 2026 Asian Games during the suspension period. However, this case remains under review and is not a final sanction. She has the right to appeal the temporary suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s Anti-Doping Division and may also request analysis of her B sample.
