On 23 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai and Pornpun Geprat shared their feelings after securing the bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games for all Thai people, following a decisive 3-0 victory over the South Korean women's national volleyball team, with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-23.
Recently, Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai said upon returning to Thailand, “This year we played over 30 matches, which is a lot. The athletes gave their all physically and mentally. We wanted the gold medal but couldn’t reach it yet. China played well. We thank everyone who supported us. Our goals were achieved: we competed for the Asian championship and qualified for the Olympics for the first time in history. Moving forward, over the next 20 months, we have planned to prepare the team thoroughly. We won’t meet again for about six months, so I hope everyone stays in good physical condition before we reunite mid-next year. Thanks so much to all the fans for their encouragement.”
Meanwhile, Pornpun Geprat said, “Actually, I haven’t told anyone that this would be my last Asian Games, nor that today would come. But this Asian Games will be my last. In the next four years, I’m not sure what my context will be, as my career will certainly change—perhaps developing in other areas, maybe as a coach or staff member. We’ll see. But as I said, this is probably my final Asian Games. I have participated three times and earned medals every time.”
