Thanapon has posted following the Thai national sepak takraw team's loss to Malaysia, missing out on gold at the 2026 Asian Games.
"A loss is a loss!" Thanapon candidly admitted after the Thai men's sepak takraw team lost to Malaysia, missing the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games.
After the men's sepak takraw gold medal match at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, the Thai national team, seven-time champions, were defeated 0-2 by Malaysia, the former champions and runners-up.
This result meant Thailand missed out on their 8th consecutive men's sepak takraw gold medal at the Asian Games, having dominated since 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. Meanwhile, Malaysia claimed the men's gold for the first time in 28 years.
Recently, Thanapon Subyen, known as "Jack Hundred Horses," a key striker for the Thai national sepak takraw team, posted a message accepting the defeat: “A loss is a loss. No whining. My heart is bigger than my liver.”
Many sports fans have expressed their support for Thanapon and the Thai sepak takraw team in large numbers.
