Kullawut Vitidsarn opens up after reaching the men's singles badminton final at the Asian Games 2026.
On 28 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Kullawut Vitidsarn, Thailand's national badminton player and world No. 2, spoke after defeating Alwi Farhan, the world No. 10 from Indonesia, 2-0 in games with scores of 21-13 and 21-15, to advance to the men's singles final at the Asian Games 2026.
Recently, Kullawut Vitidsarn said, “I feel this is beyond my expectations because before coming to this event, I felt my form wasn’t good enough even to reach this stage. But today, having made the final, I am very happy. Overall, I was able to control the game to some extent, and my opponent was eager to speed up the game, which led to mistakes, allowing me to find weaknesses and attack them.”
“I want to improve my offensive game and physical strength a bit more because lately, my speed and leg power have been declining. I’m trying to recover my body as much as possible. Whoever I face next is skilled; I will do my best because I don’t know if I will get another chance to play in the Asian Games again. Kullawut Vitidsarn will face the winner between Loh Kean Yew from Hong Kong and Yoo Tae-bin from South Korea in the gold medal final tomorrow (29 September) at 15:00 Thailand time.
