Curtis Jones is speechless as Liverpool suffer a severe slump! They lost 1-4 at home to PSV Eindhoven. It’s been a long time since the beloved team faced such a crisis.
On 27 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Liverpool’s season is spiraling downward. Curtis Jones, the young midfielder from the Reds, openly admitted that the defending champions are "in a catastrophic situation" after their 1-4 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven at Anfield. This extended their poor run to 9 losses in their last 12 matches across all competitions, dropping them to 13th place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Jones expressed deep pain after the match: “I have no answers, really none. I tell everyone this. It’s unacceptable. I don’t even have to think about it. I’m past the point of anger now, I’ve reached a place where I don’t know what to say.”
“It’s hard to accept because I play for the team I support. I’m a fan and I’ve seen this club all my life. It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen Liverpool go through times like this with results like these.”
“But the club crest is still on our chests. That badge means we will never stop fighting. We will try to bring the team back to where it belongs and show everyone once again what this club stands for and why people call it the best team in the world.”
“But right now, we are in a catastrophic situation, and it must change.”
Later, Jones gave another interview to CBS television in the United States, which led Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher to say he would prefer to see the star player Mohamed Salah speak out more.
“Curtis Jones is a passionate player. He’s hurting over what’s happened, and his interview is going to be shared widely.”
“I want to see Mo Salah speak out in that way instead of Curtis Jones.”
“When he says, ‘We have to tackle, we have to press closer,’ then who’s stopping you from doing that? The one thing no one can stop you from is running. No one can stop you from tackling, chasing, or pressing. Don’t tell us you can’t do it — just do it.”
