Amorim Frustrated, Explains Why Man United Were Held to Draw by West Ham

Ruben Amorim, manager of Manchester United, spoke out after their draw with West Ham United in the latest English Premier League match.

On 5 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ruben Amorim, manager of the "Red Devils" Manchester United, admitted his frustration with the 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the English Premier League last night, despite having the chance to win but failing to close out the game.

At Old Trafford, Man United took the lead through Diogo Dalot but later conceded a late goal, resulting in just one point instead of three, missing the opportunity to move up to fifth place on the table, much to their disappointment.

Amorim said, "We should have closed out the game for the win. I think our overall performance was not perfect. We had good moments but lost control of the game at times, especially after scoring. It was clear that the chance to win was in our hands, and we had the opportunity to close the game."

"It's really frustrating because if you look at the match, we could have controlled it, but we didn’t win. From now on, every game is crucial. We must win the next match."

Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot, who scored for Man United, said, "Of course, we are disappointed. We have to control the game better, especially at Old Trafford."

"It shouldn’t have gone like this. You have to fight for 60 minutes to score, and when it happens, you should maintain your performance and play well."

"Unfortunately, we couldn’t hold on to the result. In the end, we have to look at ourselves. It’s our fault."
