
One rising team: "Supercomputer" predicts the favorite to win the Premier League 2025-26 after matchday 14.
On 5 December 2025 GMT+7, Opta, the football statistics expert, revealed the latest predictions from their supercomputer on which team has the highest chance to win the English Premier League 2025-26 after all teams completed their 14th match.
1. Arsenal, 33 points
2. Manchester City, 28 points
3. Aston Villa, 27 points
4. Chelsea, 24 points
5. Crystal Palace, 23 points (+7 goal difference)
6. Sunderland, 23 points (+4 goal difference)
7. Brighton, 22 points (+4 goal difference)
8. Manchester United, 22 points (+1 goal difference)
9. Liverpool, 22 points (0 goal difference)
Recently, Opta’s supercomputer calculated that the "defending champions" Liverpool's chances of winning have decreased. Although still ranked fifth favorite, their chance dropped to just 0.84% (previously 1.72%) after a narrow 1-1 home draw against Sunderland, a match they almost lost.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa surged to third favorite, overtaking Chelsea after the "Villans" won 8 of their last 9 Premier League matches, climbing to third place in the standings. Earlier in the season, they were ranked 18th.
The current number one favorite to win the Premier League 2025-26 remains Arsenal, whose chances increased to 81.29% (previously 79.14%) after a 2-0 home win over Brentford, marking their eighth clean sheet in 14 games.
Manchester City is second favorite, with their chances rising to 13.00% (previously 11.30%) after a narrow 5-4 away win over Fulham. Chelsea dropped to fourth favorite after a 1-3 loss to Leeds United.
