Soboszlai Speaks Clearly on Liverpools Dressing Room Issues After Leeds Draw

Dominik Szoboszlai spoke about the issues in Liverpool's dressing room after their 3-3 draw at Leeds, stressing that internal matters should remain private and not be revealed to outsiders.

On 7 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the atmosphere inside Liverpool's dressing room was heavily shaken after two key players gave interviews that reflected internal discord within the team following their 3-3 away draw against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Dominik Szoboszlai was one of the players who spoke candidly about the "internal problems," admitting that what happened in the dressing room "cannot be made public."

"What happens in the dressing room should stay in the dressing room. It's not for outsiders," Szoboszlai said.

"But we have to deal with it. We must find a solution, and everyone must take responsibility—not just some individuals."

However, the drama intensified when, on the same day, senior player Mohamed Salah opened up about his fractured relationship with manager Arne Slot, sparking a global football controversy.

Reports from English media stated that Salah admitted his relationship with the Dutch coach "is no longer the same" and that tension had been building since the start of the season.

Salah’s statements to the media on the same day the team stumbled again further painted Liverpool as internally unstable.

On the pitch, the match was intense. Hugo Ekitike scored twice to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead before Ibrahima Konaté conceded a penalty, allowing Dominic Calvert-Lewin to pull one back for Leeds.

Anton Stach then equalized at 2-2 before Szoboszlai put Liverpool ahead again in the 80th minute. However, Ao Tanaka scored from a corner in the 96th minute, resulting in a dramatic 3-3 draw.

This draw was more than just dropped points; it became a catalyst for openly discussing "division" within Liverpool’s ranks more than ever before at Anfield.
