Salah Questioned After Liverpools Away Win Over Inter

Arne Slot, Liverpool's manager, spoke openly after leading the team to an away victory over Inter Milan in the latest English Premier League fixture.

Arne Slot, manager of "The Reds" Liverpool, praised his team's determination and especially their defensive performance, which helped them secure a 1-0 away win against "The Nerazzurri" Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League group stage last night. He also raised a question to Mohamed Salah about whether he realizes his mistake regarding his heated interview after being on the bench for three consecutive matches and being left out of the squad against Inter. Slot emphasized that the Egyptian international must take the initiative to resolve this issue.

Slot said, "Before the game, we were three points behind Inter, and if you want to be in the top eight, you need at least 15 points."

"The best thing you can do is come here and win. They have a very strong team, but overall it was a good performance from us."

"Midfielders always help the defense, but this time we saw great commitment from the players. We pressed higher in the second half. We decided to keep an extra player in defense. All 11 players dropped back to protect the goal and ensure we wouldn't concede, and in the end, we earned a penalty."

"After the games against PSV and Forest where we conceded seven goals in two matches, it was time to concede fewer goals. That’s what we managed against West Ham. Then we played Sunderland, whose first chance came in the 86th minute. Their first goal wasn’t even a real chance, and then came the game against Leeds."

"In this game, we showed spirit in the second half and made slight tactical adjustments."

Regarding Salah’s chance to return to the team, "It should be about what we do here. Everyone makes mistakes in life, but does the player realize he made a mistake? Should he or I take the initiative? I want to talk about Ibrahima Konaté, who played very well. The fans’ cheers meant a lot to him. Konaté has had some tough moments recently, but he truly played excellently."
