Brighton's manager spoke openly ahead of their English Premier League clash with Liverpool tonight.
Fabian Herzog, Brighton's manager, admitted he wants to see Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian winger of the "Reds" Liverpool, start as a first-choice player in the Premier League match between the two teams this Saturday at 22:00 GMT+7.
Brighton will visit Liverpool while sitting 8th in the table, two positions ahead of the Reds. When asked about the drama concerning Salah’s displeasure at being dropped to the bench for Liverpool, Herzog said he would be very pleased if Salah started the match.
Herzog said, “We always want to face the best players and the best teams on the pitch. We try to meet that challenge.”
“To be honest, we have no idea how Liverpool will play, which players they will field, or what tactics they will use.”
“We have to focus on ourselves, our game plan, our style of play. We go there knowing that regardless of Liverpool’s situation, it will be a big challenge. So we will try to face it and try to win.”
“This league is quite competitive, and Liverpool is part of that competition. However, every game presents an opportunity for us to win, and throughout this season we’ve proven we can beat other teams.”
