The "Reds" Liverpool have reportedly made an offer to purchase a new striker valued at £731 million.
Spanish media Fichajes reported that Liverpool, a Premier League giant, has offered €20 million to acquire Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian international striker of Juventus "the Old Lady," for a January transfer to Anfield.
Vlahovic's future has become a hot topic again, as his contract is set to expire at the end of this season. Therefore, the winter transfer window is Juventus' last chance to earn money from selling the 25-year-old striker.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is seeking a new striker to replace Alexander Isak, who is sidelined with a long-term injury.
Latest reports indicate Liverpool is very interested in signing Vlahovic and has already submitted an initial offer of €20 million to Juventus, awaiting a response from the Italian Serie A club.
Originally, Juventus intended to offer Vlahovic a new contract but wanted him to take a pay cut, which he was unwilling to accept. Now, parting ways seems the most likely option since his contract is expiring, and it would allow the club to generate funds for new signings.
Last season, Vlahovic scored 17 goals and provided 5 assists in 44 appearances for Juventus across all competitions. This season, he has already scored 6 goals and made 2 assists in all matches.
