Patrick Dorgu, full-back for Manchester United, opened up after scoring the winning goal to help his team defeat Newcastle United.
Patrick Dorgu, the attacking full-back of the "Red Devils" Manchester United, said he was extremely happy after scoring a beautiful winning goal to help his club secure a 1-0 home victory over Newcastle United, moving up to fifth place in the English Premier League last night.
The goal came in the 24th minute when Diogo Dalot launched a long throw-in from the left side. Newcastle player Nick Voltemade headed the ball away, but it fell to Patrick Dorgu, who struck a left-footed shot that curved beautifully past the post into the net.
Dorgu said, "It was a fantastic goal. I didn't think I could do something like that, but I am very happy to have scored my first goal at this stadium. It was truly wonderful."
"I just followed Ruben Amorim's advice to play with confidence. I think I performed well today."
"I just kept my eyes on the ball. When I saw it coming down, I struck it immediately. I've been practicing hard in training, and I believe that helped me."
"Today, you could see the fighting spirit we showed throughout the match, defending together as a team. When we have all our players back, we will be even stronger."
