On 28 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Opta, experts in football statistics, revealed the latest prediction by their supercomputer on which team has the highest chance to win the 2025-26 English Premier League season after completing the 18th matchday among the title contenders.

3. Aston Villa 39 points
4. Liverpool 32 points
5. Chelsea 29 points (goal difference +11)
6. Manchester United 29 points (+4)

Recently, Opta's supercomputer calculated that Arsenal, the league leader, remains the favorite to win the Premier League, though their chances have slightly decreased to 65.72% (previously 67.8%), while second favorite Manchester City’s chances have increased to 26.63% (previously 25.1%).
Meanwhile, Aston Villa, the in-form team with eight consecutive Premier League wins, ranks third with an increased title chance of 6.75% (previously 5.7%). This contrasts with Liverpool, the fourth favorite, whose chance dropped to 0.78% (previously 0.9%).
Chelsea, the fifth favorite, now has only a 0.11% chance of winning the Premier League (previously 0.4%) after losing 1-2 at home to Aston Villa. The surprise is Manchester United, which has returned to the title race with a 0.01% chance (previously 0.00%) after beating Newcastle United 1-0.
